SAP IS - Beverage

SAP IS-Beverages is an industry solution for manufacturers and distributors of beverages (breweries, dairies, and non-alco). SAP IS-Beverages features functionalities as empties management, empties recycling, excise tax, batch management.

Enhanced Excise Tax It possible to calculate excise tax liability with SAP IS-Beverages, but the report is limited by only showing offline content. The output is then manually posted in FI on a monthly basis. To overcome this limitation our consultants developed an online solution, adding excise tax reporting on line item level, for every material movement and transaction. This also eliminates the human error in the calculations. This solution fulfill every aspect of Czech legislation e.g. valuation, goods movement to and from taxable storages, scrapping and returned goods.

DSD (Direct Store Delivery) This is an add-on component for IS-Beverages further enhances the standard functionality of SAP. It is used for direct delivery to customers without use of external logistic services. With use of mobile devices allows the driver to make changes the orders, file damaged goods, print invoices and handle returnable empties en route. When the driver returns the mobile device is docked to the SAP system and all data is aromatically synchronized.

The Plantour functionality schedules and organizes tours, with the aim to group outbound deliveries to shipments. For every route a visit lists is generated, with customers, goods, quantities. Picking and loading process is using SAP standard functionality. Before truck departs the outbound delivery is checked out before the data is uploaded to the mobile device. Any transaction during the route is recorded to the mobile device and will synchronize with the backend during the check-in. After upload of the data the system automatic creates or updates corresponding documents (sales orders, delivery, billing documents, FI documents) processing and initiates clearing of open items, final settlements etc.
